Europort 2025 has officially ended, and we have plenty of good things to share.
After a memorable experience at Europort 2023, we knew returning for the 2025 edition was a no-brainer, but this time, we brought even more innovation.
Hosted in the world-class port city of Rotterdam, Europort is one of the leading international exhibitions for maritime technology and advanced shipbuilding. With a legacy spanning more than 80 years, it continues to bring together innovators and industry leaders shaping the future of smart, sustainable vessel operations worldwide.
A Stage for Innovation and International Collaboration
The sold-out 42nd edition of Europort, held from November 4th to 7th, will be remembered as the “largest ever,” with 13 national pavilions, welcoming over 23,000 trade visitors from around the world and attracting 1,100 exhibitors from 40+ countries. A roaring success to say the least.
From the very first moments, Europort set a dual tone: optimism and urgency. Marja van Bijsterveldt, Special Envoy for the Dutch Maritime Industry, in her opening keynote emphasized the undeniable fact that collaboration must remain the foundation of Europe’s maritime future. She underscored the sector’s role in sustainability, security, and industrial competitiveness, urging the industry to "turn strengths into opportunities”.

For Marfle, it couldn’t be clearer why it’s recognised as a global hub for networking, knowledge exchange, and next-generation maritime technology. Knowing our solutions are part of this transformation only strengthens us to keep working hard every day to empower smarter fleet management decisions that drive change.
Marfle’s Presence and Impact
Marfle’s Business Development Manager, Farooq Al Obaidi, packed his suitcase and flew overseas to Rotterdam for three exciting days - it’s always a special feeling to reconnect with friends, partners, and suppliers, meet new faces, and hear how the industry continues to evolve, this time at Europort 2025.
Farooq attended with a clear mission: to demonstrate how Marfle Advanced Analytics supports fleet managers and vessel owners in making smarter, greener, and more efficient fleet management decisions.
But how so? By combining real-time insights with historical performance data, commercial fleets experience reduced emissions and fuel consumption costs, foster safer navigation, and encourage a crew-centric mindset.
Advanced monitoring and reporting - has gained momentum in recent years due to increasingly tightening industry regulations - helps detect engine issues early, reducing costly downtime and ensuring vessels run longer and more efficiently.
When we asked Farooq about his experience at this year’s Europort and how the Marfle solution was received, his response gave us the perfect overview:
"Europort was a fantastic opportunity to meet industry professionals and demonstrate how Marfle helps optimise vessel performance. The response was extremely positive. Prospects immediately recognised the value of our solution, particularly its efficiency, operational insights, and user-friendly interface, leading to multiple follow-up requests."
Overall, the event not only reinforced Marfle’s position as a data-driven maritime innovator but also provided valuable insights that will shape our continued product development.
Key themes from Europort 2025
Europort 2025 focused on the summit theme “The Benefits of the Roaring Twenties – A Sea of Opportunities” highlighting how the maritime industry can drive growth through innovation and collaboration. Throughout the week, several core themes guided discussions:
